Other Info: Update 5/31; This guy jumped in my car and we were off to Kansas, I think his foster dad took it harder than Koda though, I will say as we drove away Koda watched him like a hawk as he followed us back to the hwy. It brought tears to my eyes. Koda was loved at his previous foster home but it was just not a match for everyone. With his move to Kansas, he's out swimming, playing fetch, running the tree rows, and has been about perfect here. He just needs a chessie savvy home with lots of opportunities for exercise. I can not express enough how truly sweet this guy is, and I'm heartbroken he has not found his forever home yet. ** Koda is very sweet, he is submissive to people and has shown zero aggression toward me, my spouse, or kids. He likes to ride in cars and will load inside, or into a pick-up bed, on command. He is quiet and calm inside a vehicle. He retrieves on command. He is not gun shy. He is very birdy, he watches birds in the air and canít stop thinking about our chickens. He is very attached to people, he wonít run away or go out of sight. He loves being petted by children. He does not guard any part of his body. He has a soft mouth and readily gives up what is in his mouth. He learned the command crate in two days - he just doesnít like it. He was left alone in a yard with little interaction and lacks socialization: he will give a single woof alert when he sees other people when out on walks, he barks at motorcycles, he tries to ignore strangers, he is dominate and can be very aggressive to other dogs. He is not a dog I would ever take to a dog park.
