Penny was adopted thru CBRR&R earlier this year. Although her new family adored her, it was discovered that her new Dad was severely allergic. After six months of trying to work thru the problem, they had no other recourse than to return Penny to CBRR&R. |

Penny is a very "young" 6.5 year old Chesapeake. The picture on this listing was taken when she was in foster care earlier this year. We will provide a new one shortly. However, she hasn't changed and, as you can tell from her picture, she's a looker! Penny is not very fond of other dogs and particularly doesn't like other dogs that get in her face and behave rudely. When she was with us earlier this year, she got along fine with the male dogs in her foster home and the one smaller, submissive female dog, but Penny and the large resident female CBR didn't care for each other. We assume that still holds true, but we will find out soon enough. Please check back for updates.
UPDATE: 7/20/2010 -- Penny & Waylon (another foster dog, ID #1955) really like each other! All kisses and tail wags from both dogs. We'll see how she does when Waylon gets in her face. :-) Penny also talks and roos, and talks and roos, and talks and roos. She lets you know when she wants something, like when her water dish is empty! If all is well in Penny's world, then Penny is a beautiful quiet companion that wants to be with you, but isn't underfoot. She has wonderful house manners -- whether at her home or visiting friends. |
