For such a big boy is he surprisingly fast and loves to retrieve. He has a great nose, he picks up an scent and he's off crisscrossing the field. I suspect he smells where the deer bedded down the night before.

If Hoss had a Lakota name it would be "Smiles A Lot". He is a grinner! His smiles are so big, it's scary if you don't know what your really looking at!

Hoss is very affectionate (big teddy bear)and likes to be around his people,(Velcro dog). He keeps close walking off leash, but likes to take point. He does look back to check up on you a lot. If I call out to him he comes running back to see what's up, then goes back out front. He is just awesome! Great dog looking for a great family to love him.
