The Mid-Atlantic Region of Chesapeake Bay Retriever Relief & Rescue is hosting its third annual picnic and fundraiser Sunday, May 18 at North East Community Park 200 West Walnut Street, North East, MD 21901. Chicken, pulled pork and Sodas provided; side dishes and desserts are pot luck. This is a day spent enjoying the bay, celebrating our dogs, their adoptive families and our volunteers. A professional photographer will be on hand throughout the day to take photos of participants and dogs. Each photo sold will benefit rescue. If you have been considering having some professional photos taken what better place than with the Chesapeake Bay as a backdrop? In addition to dipping their toes in the headwaters of the bay, last year quite a few dogs earned their Canine Good Citizen Certificate. This year we are hoping that many more will attempt to earn their CGC Certificate. CGC testing will be followed by a picnic lunch. Fundraising activities will include a silent auction, a Chinese auction, and the Canine Good Citizen Test. The auction items this year are varied and fantastic. There is something for every budget. Door prizes will be awarded during lunch. At 2PM we will draw the winning ticket for the condo raffle. Tickets for the condo raffle are available online or at the picnic.
